Registration Questions

When is Attack on Sassafras Mountain?

What does it cost?
$45. Includes race t-shirt and post race meal

When is the last day to register?
Sunday October 7, 2012, at 11:00pm

Is there a rider limit for this event?
Yes. Being this is an Inaugural event, it is limited to 100 riders.

Is there a requirement to be able to ride the Attack on Sassafras Mountain?
No. However, this course is considered challenging. Riders with little to no experience are not encouraged to attempt this ride without first attempting the course on their own.

How do I register for this event?
Go to www.attackonsassafras.com and click on the “Register” link.

Pre-Ride Questions

Where will I leave my car during the event?
Vehicles can be left in the parking lot of the Tri-County Technical College Easley Campus (1774 Powdersville Road, Easley SC).

When can I pick up my packet?
Packet pick-up will be at the Tri-County Technical College Easley Campus from 7 – 7:30am on the day of the ride.

Ride Questions

Will the course be visibly marked?
Yes. Event directional signs will be placed throughout the course, and police officers will be stationed at high traffic and dangerous intersections.

How many SAG stations will be on the course?
As many as 4 SAG stations will be positioned on the course with refreshments and event staff.

Will SAG vehicles be on the course?
Yes. Event authorized SAG vehicles will be patrolling the course. PLEASE DO NOT USE PERSONAL SAG VEHICLES.

Can family and/or friends follow me while I ride?
No. Due to number of cyclists, support vehicles, and regular traffic, please do not allow family and/or friends to follow on the course. By taking alternate roads, they may drive ahead to stop and cheer you on!

What happens if I break down and cannot continue?
Official SAG vehicles will be monitoring the course. Flag one down and you will be transported to the TCTC Easley Campus.

Post-Ride Questions

When I reach the top of Sassafras Mountain, am I finished?
It is up to you! You can take a SAG vehicle back to the TCTC Easley Campus for the post-race meal, or you can ride the course back. Don’t worry, there will be food left for you!

Where can I find pictures of the event?
Event photos will be taken by (TBD) and available for purchase through their website.
